The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority’s (VIHFA) Emergency Housing Program is designed to provide temporary housing for victims of domestic violence, natural disaster, catastrophic incidents and financial hardships. There are a total of nine emergency housing communities in the Territory. To be eligible for consideration in the Emergency Housing Program, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a victim of domestic violence, a natural disaster, a catastrophe, or have a financial hardship
- Be able to afford the rent and utilities
- Be represented by a Service Provider

The rent levels for the emergency housing units are as follows:

Security Deposits are refundable upon move out and upon inspection of the unit’s condition.
